We’re closing in on the end of July, more than half-way through the 2009 Major League Baseball season. Soon pennant races will be heating up! I’ve met quite a few baseball fans on the forum, so I thought I’d sit down and have a chat with one of the biggest, and one of the sexiest baseball fanatics at OHC … Roxi Davis! As a special bonus, we’ve included some exclusive new Roxi photos seen here for the very first time!
Roxi grew up a midwest girl, and a passionate fan of one of the midwest’s most historic franchises, the St. Louis Cardinals. “I was raised in one of the biggest baseball cities,” she says, “and I remember always listening to Jack Buck in my dad’s old Plymouth Duster.” Those were, “the good old days.” Wherever she’s been since, Roxi has always followed her beloved Cardinals.
“I’m not sure if it was the first game I went to,” Roxi tells me, “but its the first one I can remember.” It was “baseball day at the ball park,” and “every kid got a baseball signed by the Cardinals players. I remember Fredbird passing them out to all the kids and he came up to me and kissed me and handed me my baseball.” How cute is that guys? “My parents also bought me a cute little red Cardinals shirt,” she says. “I still have it somewhere packed away with my baby clothes!”
Our Roxi played T-Ball, and softball into high school. “It definitely made me enjoy baseball a lot more,” she says. “I understood the game a lot quicker I think since I was playing it.” She played right field during her softball years, so if she ever got the chance to suit up for her Cardinals she says “it would probably be in right field.”
It’s no surprise that this girl also loves the experience of being at the ballpark. “What do I like best about it?” Roxi says, “I love the adrenalin rush of the game, and just getting into it… screaming and clapping and whistling!!” And no trip to the ballpark would be complete without some refreshments. “There’s nothing better than some nice ice cold beer,” she says. “I love the guys who yell out ‘Come and get your Bud Light…Bud Light or cotton candy!!’ that cracks me up every time.” And Roxi has to have “the big pretzels with cheese…so damn yummy!!”
Roxi counts among her favorite players a few Cardinal legends. “I liked Ozzie Smith of course, but who didn’t? You gotta love the back flip! … I was a big Willy McGee fan too.” Among the current Cardinals, two time NL MVP Albert Pujols is a favorite, as is catcher Yadier Molina. “I also can’t forget #24 Rick Ankiel, such a stud!” There’s also former Cardinal J.D. Drew. “I know he isn’t with the Cardinals anymore – he’s with the Red Sox damn it!! – but I love JD, he’s so freaking HOT!!” As for the newest Cardinal? Roxi says of the recently acquired Matt Holliday … “Matt Holliday=SEXY!!”
Yes guys, baseball can definitely get our Roxi turned on. “I love to watch the sexy guys in those tight pants run around the bases!” she confesses. This sexy baseball fan has been known to get a bit excited at the sight of a home run, and even get a bit hot under the collar for a perfectly executed double play or suicide squeeze!
As the trade deadline approaches, the Cardinals might still be looking to strengthen their pitching, and they have now acquired some help with the bat. The NL Central is the closest division in baseball, but Roxi is confident in her team’s prospects for the rest of the season. “I definitely believe the Cardinals will make it to the playoffs,” she says, “but I really can’t predict anything besides that.” Roxi is also confident enough to have made a big bet on her Cardinals against their most hated rival, the Chicago Cubs. You can check out the bet in her forum. “All I know,” she says, “is that the Cardinals better win more games than the Cubbies!”
