ok so as a disclaimer i would just like us all to take a moment to acknowledge that as i type this blog i am in the midst or something that is a cross between a bout of insomnia and an overdose of caffeine. if there happens to be an abundance of typos in this blog or sentence fragments or statements that make no sense then i apologize in advance and let’s blame it on my utter lack of sleep. not on the fact that i am generally sort of a frazzled, discombobulated girl.
so anyway. last night around what most people consider bed time (11pm?) i started to get this raging headache which i blame on the rage sized latte i guzzled while shopping at whole foods. then i started to get a stomach ache which started to make me worry that i was going to get one of those horrible migraines that lasts for three days. i dug around in my extremely clean and organized (those details are lies) bathroom for some tylenol but all that i could find was midol. midol contains caffeine. so while it helped with my headache it also made me very uhhh.. perky.. which let to fun shows with all of you! but guys it’s 2pm here now and i haven’t slept yet. no bueno.
so those of you who have spent a few moments talking to me either on the ohc forums or in my chat room or on www.godsgirls.com probably know that i have two pomeranians. recently i decided to foster a third one and let me tell you– he is unlike any pomeranian i have ever seen. he’s BALD. he was rescued from the pound already bald and his hair doesn’t grow back so no one is really sure what’s wrong with him. he has a few remaining tufts of white hair so he sort of resembles a plucked chicken. he is the tiniest little guy. he probably weighs two lbs and he is so sweet. he nuzzles my hand all day looking for pats on the head. it is a pretty rewarding experience to take in these lost cause dogs. all three dogs at my house are rescues who were abandoned by their owners.
my first dog chloe was abandoned at a vet’s office after a larger dog attacked her and broke some of her ribs. aside from some separation anxiety chloe is mostly normal so i believe that she was abandoned just because her owners couldn’t afford her bills. at least they took her to the vet. my second dog is a disaster case named carlos who was found roaming the streets. he was picked up by animal control and sat at the pound awaiting his fate. the pound made no effort to find him a home because he was biting everyone and very scared/mean. on the day that he was scheduled to be put to sleep a very kind woman who lives near by rescued him and i took him. now he has learned to trust me and is a cuddly ball of love whenever i am around. he still doesn’t like strangers or new people very much and is very afraid of them but he is getting better all of the time.
now we have otis. a bald little plucked chicken pretending to be a pomeranian. he’s so small i can cover him up with two of my hands and i have small girl hands.
so yeah– between godsgirls and ohc and messing around in my garden this is pretty much my life. taking care of these dogs that no one wants except for me. if you ever get a dog i highly recommend that you decide to rescue a dog. it’s very rewarding.
i had some really fun shows with you guys this morning and i am looking forward to getting to spend a little bit more time on my cam since we have a brand new intern at godsgirls and some of the stress of running the day to day on that site is going to be alleviated soon. i think i am actually going to set my intern up on a cam also. her name is harlow and she is a supremely hot aussie girl. also, i think you guys will be meeting ronnie tonight who is incredibly sexy and hilarious.
well there you have it. a frazzled, confusing, delirious update from yours truly. there’s more where this came from! stay tuned and please forgive any horrid grammar and spelling errors. i am too tired to proof read!
