After one week of the NCAA basketball tournament, the field of 64 teams has been cut down to 16, commonly referred to as the Sweet Sixteen! And this is a great time for you sports fans (and women), because OHC is hosting a contest for each remaining round of the NCAA tournament, starting this Thursday with the Sweet Sixteen.
Prizes will include FREE OnHerCamcredits to see the hot cam girls on their live webcam chat as well as FREE membership giveaways up to 3 MONTHS to either OnHerCamNetwork, CamWithCarmen.com, GotGisele.com or Viorotica.com. For more prizes information click here for the OnHerCam Contests forum.
OHC is holding a bonus bracket contest as well. Here you will need to fill out the entire bracket from the 16 remaining teams, until who you choose to win the national championship. Filling out how many points the champion will win by will be used only in the case of a tie. The prize is one of the best offered by OHC: 3 months membership to either OHC VIP or one of the solo sites AND 50 free credits. AWESOME if you ask me. You can fill out your bracket and see examples of how to fill it out here.
The main contest will be a round by round contest. You will need to make selections for who you think will survive each round of play. For the Sweet 16 you will select 8 winners. Then, check back after the round for the list of Elite 8 teams and make new selections for that round. This will continue again until a national champion is crowned. You can find out more in the OHC contest forum.
The games this year have been great if you have not been paying attention. There have been so many surprising upsets and smaller market teams making a showing. The bracket is split up into 4 regions and each team in the bracket was initially ranked from 1 to 16 in a way such that if every favored team won, the remaining 16 teams would be all of the top seeds 1 – 4 of each region. Last season only two teams with a higher seed than 4 made it this far, #12 Arizona and #5 Purdue. This year half of the remaining teams have a higher seed than 4, which means there were alot of upset victories. Only 3 number one seeds are left: Kentucky, Syracuse, and Duke. Three #2 seeds remain: West Virginia, Ohio State, and Kansas State; and only one three and four seed remain Baylor and Purdue. So there are eight teams that are #5 or higher seeds. There are two #5 seeds: Michigan State and Butler, and two #6 seeds Xavier and Tennessee. Four teams remain with a #9 or higher rank, #9 Northern Iowa, #10 Saint Mary’s, #11 Washington, and #12 Cornell. Northern Iowa knocked out the number one Kansas Jayhawks, the number one overall ranked team. Saint Mary’s Gails won over #2 Villanova by 7 points and have averaged 77 points in their two games this tournament. Washington beat #6 Marquette by two then ran all over #3 New Mexico 82 – 64. The highest remaining seed Cornell had big wins over #5 Temple (13 points) and #4 Wisconsin (18 points). With Cornell facing Kentucky in its next game, it would seem that their run is over, however with all of the upsets thus far, anything can happen. #11 Washington is also a team to watch out for being an underdog by only 4 points to West Virginia.
Make sure that you go make your picks in all of the OHC contests NOW! But remember, anything can happen and don’t be surprised if Syracuse, Kentucky, or West Virginia don’t make it to the Elite Eight.
